Adelaide

The first day in Adelaide we went to the zoo. At the zoo we saw the giant pandas. Most of the time they were asleep but when we came back one was awake. The glass was reflective so we could not see them very well. We also saw the sea-lions. When we were at the sea lions they were feeding them. The sea lions had whiskers. They were much bigger than I expected. The sea lions were my favourite out of all the animals. After the zoo we went to the Australian Space and Discovery Centre. It was very interesting. I read all the signs I could. We learnt about plants in space, which was quite weird. My favourite bit was when Isaac and I directed a beam with satellites.

The next day we went to Hahndorf. For lunch we had a meat-fest. We had sausages and pork chops. It was delicious. I also had some gravy with my sausages and pork chop. We went to a bag shop where we saw lots of weird bags. There was a little mushroom bag that mum took a photo of. The shop was very strange but really fun. There was a shop that had heaps of cuckoo clocks. They kept ticking whilst we were in the shop.

The next day we went to Glenelg beach. The first thing Isaac and I did was rush down to the water. The water was the perfect temperature for swimming in. After going into the water multiple times Isaac and I built sand chairs to sit in. It was a very nice beach.

You were very busy Mia when you stayed in Adelaide. The zoo and Space discovery place sound great – more things to learn about. Hahndorf is a cute place – live the handbags. Did mum buy one to add to her collection? It must have seemed strange being on a beach surrounded by tall buildings after having spent so many days on beaches with only yourselves there.
