Kalgoorlie

When we got to Kalgoorlie we went to the visitors centre to get some information then we went and had lunch at the Kalgoorlie Hotel. Some of dad’s family used to own the pub but not now. The next day we went to Hannan North Tourist Mine. We saw big mining trucks that we got to climb on. Then we went to the gold room to watch a man pour gold. It was very interesting to see the gold in a pot then turn into a block. We also did some gold panning but didn’t find anything. Isaac and me found all the puzzle pieces around so we got a poster at the end. We also found the hidden elf and got a bouncy ball prize.

We went to the Super Pit next. It is a super super big hole where they are mining. We didn’t get to see a blast but we watched all the trucks moving around with their heavy loads. It was very interesting. Using our binoculars we found the pink truck but not the blue one or the black one.
