Carnarvon

When we were at Carnarvon we went to the Carnarvon Space & Technology Museum. I thought it would be boring but it was actually interesting and fun. We watched a video of a space craft called Orion, I watched it two times because Mum and Isaac did’t see it the first time. Orion is a new space craft designed to take people to the moon. They haven’t taken any people to the moon yet because they are still testing. When Orion flew above the Indian Ocean they lost contact with it but when they looked at it later it still recorded all the information. The whole point of Carnarvon Space & Technology Museum was to communicate with astronauts. It was a tracking station for the apollo missions. After we went to a room full of games, they were really fun.

After the  Carnarvon Space & Technology Museum we did the fruit loop. The first place we stopped at was Bumbaks. Bumbaks sells chutneys, jams and ice cream. There were chill flavers and mango flavers and banana flavers. I had a mango ice cream. Isaac and dad had a rocky road icecream. They said that their ice cream was solid. My ice cream was super super mangoy and hard. In the end we brought home lots of flaver chutneys. After Bumbaks we went to a fruit shop on the side of the road. We got some delicious honeydew and some bananas. Next we drove to a cactus garden. We saw heaps of big cactus and they had big spikes. Isaac touched a spike and said it was not that spikey.

That afternoon we played table tennis and pool. Isaac and I didn’t know how to play table tennis so mum and dad taught us. At the end of the day I was really good at it. I loved playing pool and table tennis.

The next day we went to Quobba. We stopped to look at the waves and they were ginormous. They were splashing over the cliffs. The next stop was Red Bluff. At Red Bluff we sat on the beach watching the big blue waves crash against the rocks. After we sat and had our lunch at a hut. After Red Bluff we went to Quobba Blowholes. Blowholes are holes in the ground when theres a big wave water splashes out of the holes. They had such a big splash that Isaac got wet whilst he was trying to get a better look. They were the best blowholes I’ve seen because I’d only seen them at one other spot before.

After Quobba we went surf fishing in Carnarvon. I caught a baby ray for the first time in my life and four fish. The ray snapped off the line when it was in the shallows. It was a good thing because we didn’t want to get the hook out. It was a lovely day to go fishing.
