Pender Bay, Dampier Peninsula

The drive to Neem was bumpy and sandy so we had to drop the tyres. When we got to Neem we realised it was closed so we had to go to the campground down the road.  When we got to the campground we realisedit was a beach. Me and Isaac stampeded in to the sand.

When we got up the next morning I asked Mum if me and Isaac could build a big sandcastle when Dad was fishing. She said yes so we built a biggg sandcastle. We stoped at 9:00am to have breakfast and then came back to add on some extra things. That morning we also saw Dolphin’s for the first time on the trip and also the first time in my life. The dolphins swam along the beach near our camp and then out to the horizon. They were amazing. In the afternoon we all went fishing, I caught a Bream and Dad caught a Travaly. It was a very successful day. We got to take Dad’s fish home.

When we got up the next morning Me and Isaac went with Dad to do some fishing. I caught a Whiting and I get to have it for my lunch with Dad’s fish he caught the day before. That night we went fishing again, we did’t catch anything but Dad a heroic dive nilly in to the water and saved his expensive soufrod. The fish was pulling very, very hard.

When we were packing up the next day Dad saw a pod of Dolphin’s then we all spotted them.  They were leaping up and down.

Seeing dolphins would have been so exciting. And all the fishing you have done, and catching all that fish. Your sandcastle area looked great. Love Grandma xx
