The Bungle Bungles

On the way to the Bungle Bungles we went on a very bumpy road for two hours and I vomited because I didn’t take my tablet. On the way to the campground we saw a ginormous willy willy.

The first day we did some big walks and in total we did 11kms. We walked in the morning because if we went in the afternoon it would get too hot. We walked to The Window which was a rock formation with a big hole in it shaped like a window. Next we went to the Piccininny Lookout. It was very windy and there were lots of flies but they didn’t bother me. The walks were joined together and the next one was Cathedral Gorge which was so pretty. The water looked pretty from the sun shining on it. If people talked you could hear it on the other side because it echoed. Me and Isaac jumped over the rocks playing. We also went to the domes but I thought it was really boring and it wasn’t as pretty as the other places we had been that day. My favourite walk of the day was The Window even though it was the longest walk.

The next day we did more walks but they were small ones so they didn’t tired me as much. The first lookout was pretty but it was smokey so we couldn’t see them very well. We also went to Stonehenge where there were heaps of signs about plants that the Aboriginal people used for food and medicine. We did another little lookout but it wasn’t a very good lookout. We decided to do a 4 km walk called Mini Palms Gorge. It was beautiful and fun because you got to climb rocks and squeeze through rocks. It was still a hot walk but much cooler than the other walks because it was mostly in the shade and sometimes there was a little breeze. Then we went to Echidna Chasm. It was special because we got to see the chasm glow red with light. It was pretty. Then we went to Osmond Lookout and there was a big rock that me and Isaac had a photo on.

Mia. So much walking- how fantastic! You will need some new shoes soon if you keep this up. But the weather sounds as though it has been very hot. The rocks are gigantic- you all seem so small but they look magnificent. Great photos xxx love Aunty Kate xx

I am exhausted just reading about all your walking. It sounds very hot so you are pretty good walking in the heat. You must drink lots of water. The bungle bungles look a lovely place to visit and the rocks are massive. Loving your photos. You do look very cute. Love Grandma xx
