Litchfield

At  Litchfield we went to the Cascades which is little holes in the ground filled with water that you can swim in. I put my head under lots of tiny water falls. Then we went to the plunge pool next to the Cascades. I could touch the bottom of it  most of the time and Dad could for as long as we went. Then we went to Wangi Falls that heaps of people said they were going to. It was really busy and beautiful.

We also went to Florence Falls where there was two Falls. I put my head under both of them. Then we went to Buley Rock holes. It’s like Cascades they are big holes in the ground filled with lots of water that you can swim in.

We went for a long drive on a 4wd track. On the track we did a river crossing that was about 0.6m. We visited an old homestead where kids used to live and mine for tin. I collected bits of tin that I found. Then we went to Surprise Falls. I loved that the most because we got to jump and do what ever we wanted and it was really deep. We also went to Tjaynera Falls which I thought it was too cold for me.

We saw heaps and heaps of magnetic termite moulds. They were flat and they pointed north/south. They looked like a big graveyard.

We went to a place called Tjaetaba Falls. I swam without a noodle.  Later that afternoon we walked a long way to get to Walker creek. We swam for a long time and in that time Mum told me how to swim better.   We had the spot all to ourselves.

The Lost City is heaps and heaps of rocks that used to be the ground but its eroded over a very long time. Now the rocks stand above the ground. Some of the rocks were nice to sit in and we had lunch in one.
