Margaret River area

In Margaret River we did heaps of food tasting and mum and dad did wine tasting. We visited a chocolate factory, providore, nuts and cereals shop, an oil place, venison farm, a fancy butcher and a yummy ice creamery. We bought lots of yummy things to eat. We also went to a soap place. At the soap place a lady showed Isaac and me how to wash our hands with some fancy soap things. It felt nice and smelt lovely. After we washed our arms and hands my arm was super smooth. It felt like magic.

Whilst we were in Margaret River area we drove to Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse. We got to go inside the lighthouse and climb up the stairs to the balcony up top. If you are scared of heights it would been terrifying but I went out and thought it was an amazing view. Cape Leeuwin is the south western point of Australia and it has the tallest lighthouse on main land Australia. It is also where the Indian Ocean and the Southern Ocean meet. On the way back we stopped at Augusta to do some fishing. We all caught some fish but none to bring home. There were some friendly pelicans that hung around but didn’t snatch any of our fish.

Me and Isaac collected sticks at our campsite to make a homemade Christmas tree. Dad helped tie them together and we put baubles on it. Mum got some fairy lights to put on too. The Christmas tree looked amazing. The last night we were there we watched a christmas movie outside on a big screen. The movie was Elf.

Mia, food tasting sounds great- yummo! Did you buy any of the fancy soap things? You are certainly learning the Geography of Australia in your travels – interesting to hear about the lighthouse. Cute fish you caught🎣 The Christmas tree is so special- creative. Xx
